Alejandra (Alex) Garcia Oak Street Campus Rotary Student of the Month

Congratulations to Alejandra (Alex) Garcia from Oak Street Campus who is Hillsboro Rotary Club Student of the Month. Alex joined the Rotary for lunch with a large contingent of her fans cheering her on, including her mom, Rebecca Garcia, grandma, Gloria Hernandez, Social Studies teacher Kyle Boone, and School to Career Specialist Stephen Moreno. For Alex, the transition from middle school to high school during Covid-19 was a big challenge, and she is especially grateful to Ms. Brown, a counselor at South Meadows Middle School, who helped her find a solution that worked for her, Oak Street Campus. As part of the Big Picture Program, Alex has found her way, and plans to go into the medical field and pursue a career as a pediatrician. With deep gratitude to many who have helped her, Alex is proud to be a student of the Hillsboro School District. May she continue to find the people and resources to pursue her passions. We wish her much success in her journey!
